1. Account and Access
You may not:
- Create accounts using false identities or someone else's information.
- Share account credentials with anyone, including coworkers or family members.
- Maintain multiple accounts to evade rate limits, paid-plan caps, or a previous suspension.
- Use the Service after we have terminated your access.
2. Content You Submit
You may not submit content that:
- You do not own or have permission to use.
- Is false or misleading in a material way (especially your resume).
- Contains another person's sensitive personal information without a lawful basis.
- Contains malware, exploits, or executable code intended to compromise systems.
- Promotes hate, violence, harassment, or discrimination against any individual or group.
- Is sexually explicit, gratuitously violent, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional Service.
- Violates the intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights of any third party.
- Constitutes illegal employment solicitation or discrimination prohibited by law.
3. AI-Specific Conduct
In addition to our AI Usage Policy, you may not:
- Use AI features to fabricate qualifications you do not have.
- Use AI features to write content that impersonates another person.
- Try to extract our system prompts or attack the underlying model.
- Submit prompt-injection content designed to redirect the model's behaviour.
- Use outputs to train another AI system.
4. Technical Conduct
You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive source code for the Service, except as permitted by applicable law.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except as expressly permitted by our Responsible Disclosure Policy.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, billing enforcement, or other technical controls.
- Use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or any other automated means to access or interact with the Service, except the official WaterApply browser extension and any APIs we publish for that purpose.
- Send requests at a rate or volume that disrupts the Service or burdens our infrastructure (denial of service or amplification).
- Attempt to identify or correlate other users.
- Interfere with any other user's use of the Service.
5. Recruiter Outreach — Anti-Spam
WaterApply's recruiter outreach feature drafts a message. You send the message yourself. If you choose to send an outreach drafted in WaterApply, you are solely responsible for compliance with:
- Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)— including the requirement for an existing relationship or express consent, and the inclusion of identification and unsubscribe information where applicable.
- U.S. CAN-SPAM Act— including accurate headers, no deceptive subject lines, and a working unsubscribe mechanism for commercial messages.
- EU ePrivacy Directive and Member State laws if the recipient is in the EEA.
- Any other anti-spam law applicable to you or the recipient.
You may not use WaterApply to compose bulk unsolicited commercial messages. WaterApply is intended for one-to-one professional outreach related to a specific job opportunity you are pursuing.
6. Privacy of Third Parties
- Do not submit any third party's personal information except recruiter contact information that has been made publicly available by them for professional outreach.
- Do not retain recruiter contact details longer than necessary for the outreach.
- Honour any opt-out, unsubscribe, or do-not-contact request from a recipient.
7. Browser Extension Conduct
- Use the extension only on pages where you are authorized to view the content.
- Do not use the extension to extract content from sites in violation of those sites' terms of service.
- Do not modify the extension or use unofficial builds.
8. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, report it to waterapply1@gmail.com. Include a description and any relevant evidence.
9. Consequences
We may take any combination of the following actions in response to a violation:
- Issue a warning.
- Remove or quarantine offending content.
- Throttle or restrict access to features.
- Suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice.
- Refund or forfeit unused paid time, at our discretion.
- Refer the matter to law enforcement or regulators when appropriate.
10. Changes
We may update this AUP as new patterns of abuse emerge. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be brought to your attention in-app or by email.
